Flow Regulators
Grande Water Management Systems offers a variety of flow regulators which are designed to passively maintain a fixed flow through them under varying upstream head conditions using the principles of physics and mechanics.
Balance Flow Regulator
Grande Water Management Systems ACU-FLO Balance Regulator maintains a constant discharge at a set value independent of the upstream water level. The ACU-FLO Balance Regulator is effectively balancing the mass of the water flowing through it against the fixed counterweight. The most important functional elements are the pivoted radial gate, the weighing trough and the regulating counterweight.
The ACU-FLO is designed to maintain a constant and accurate flow (+/- 5%) from a minimum of 16 gpm (1 L/s) to a maximum of 4 000 gpm (250 L/s) for upstream water levels varying from 0 to 40 feet (12 m).
Jet Regulator
Grande Water Management Systems ACU-JET Jet Regulator maintains a constant discharge at a set value independent of the upstream water level. The ACU-JET Jet Regulator is effectively balancing the force of the water flowing through it against the jet shield. The most important functional elements are the pivoted radial gate, the jet shield and the regulating counterweight.
The ACU-JET Jet Regulator System is designed to maintain a constant and accurate flow (+/- 5%) from a minimum of 235 gpm (15 L/s) to a maximum of 32 000 gpm (2 000 L/s) for upstream water levels varying from 0 to 40 feet (12 m). The ACU-JET Jet Regulator has been used for flow control in combined sewer systems (CSO), sanitary sewer systems (SSO) and effluent from batch process plants and is well suited to regulate medium to very large discharges.
Compact Regulator
Grande Water Management Systems TRU-FLO Compact Regulator maintains a constant discharge at a set value independent of the upstream water level. The TRU-FLO Compact Regulator is installed in the structure’s wet well and is acted upon by the upstream water level. During low flow periods, the pivoted radial gate remains in the fully open position. During high flow periods, the position of the float within the housing determines the position of the radial gate and consequently the size of the regulator opening. This ensures a constant discharge over the entire range of the upstream water level.
The TRU-FLO Compact Regulator System is designed to maintain a constant and accurate flow (+/- 5%) from a minimum of 160 gpm (10 L/s) to a maximum of 7 100 gpm (450 L/s) for upstream water levels varying from 0 to 26 feet (8 m). The TRU-FLO Compact Regulator has been used for flow control in combined sewer systems (CSO), sanitary sewer systems (SSO) and effluent from batch process plants and is well suited to regulate small to medium discharges.
