Water/Wastewater Valves
Since 1959, Penn-Troy Manufacturing, Inc. has been engineering and producing our own products from our facility in Troy, PA. The company was born out of Troy Engine and Machine Company, an engine manufacturer with roots dating back to the 1870s. We still occupy that same building today, but our services have expanded. We now produce standard and custom valves and other products for the water/wastewater and marine industry.
Valve Position Indicators
No more wondering if the valve is fully open yet or if you have turned it enough to close it. Troy Valve position indicators are designed to let valve operators know precisely what position their valve is in, regardless of the industry or application. You no longer need to struggle to see small hash marks to determine how many turns you made. Troy Valve’s easy to read numerical readout makes it easy to see the valve’s current position.
Hydrostatic Pressure Relief Valves
Hydrostatic pressure relief valves ensure that concrete tanks don’t float from the excess groundwater beneath them. Floating tanks can lead to serious cracks and other major issues. The increase over hydrostatic pressure that occurs from rising water tables triggers the opening of the pressure relief valve, allowing water to enter the tank and preventing it from floating.
Flap Valves
Flap Valves, sometimes referred to as Flap Gates, are put on the end of a flanged pipe to allow the flow of water out of the pipe, but prevent anything from flowing back in, such as sticks, leaves or other debris. Under direct pressure the valve will open, and it will close when the pressure from outfall fluid is relieved.
Telescoping Valves
Telescoping valves are designed for use in tanks, lagoons, ponds, water containment structures and water & wastewater plants. Ideal for siphoning clean water from the surface of one tank or body into another, telescoping valves will not disturb the sediment that sinks to the bottom. Telescoping valves are also used to regulate fluid levels, either by draining one tank into another or filling an adjacent tank with a higher water level.
Mud Valves
Mud valves are commonly used as drain valves in the bottom of water and wastewater treatment basins and tanks, but they’re also used in industrial applications with spill or overflow containment basins. So it goes without saying that when you’re looking for a new mud valve, reliability and longevity is a key concern. Because, let’s face it, nobody wants to clean up that mess.
