Valves
The number of different types of valves available in the municipal water and wastewater marketplace are too numerous to list. AFT's journey began as product experts in valves and gates of all types - while our line card has expanded our expertise in valve technology remains strong. Our product listings below are a sampling but by no means exhaustive...
Air/Vacuum Relief Valves
Whether filling or breaking a vacuum in a force main, or releasing air collected in the main as part of normal operations, air valves are an integral parts of a wastewater force main or water distribution system.
Knife Gate Valves
DeZurik's Stainless Steel Knife Gate Valves are used as isolation/on-off valves in the toughest corrosive, abrasive liquid, slurry or dry material applications. They are pressure rated to 150 psi CWP as standard and can be made with bi-directional resilient seats, or uni-directional metal seats.
Telescoping Valves
Telescoping valves are designed for use in tanks, lagoons, ponds, water containment structures and water & wastewater plants. Ideal for siphoning clean water from the surface of one tank or body into another, telescoping valves will not disturb the sediment that sinks to the bottom. Telescoping valves are also used to regulate fluid levels, either by draining one tank into another or filling an adjacent tank with a higher water level.
Mud Valves
Mud valves are commonly used as drain valves in the bottom of water and wastewater treatment basins and tanks, but they’re also used in industrial applications with spill or overflow containment basins. So it goes without saying that when you’re looking for a new mud valve, reliability and longevity is a key concern. Because, let’s face it, nobody wants to clean up that mess.
Flap Valves
Flap Valves, sometimes referred to as Flap Gates, are put on the end of a flanged pipe to allow the flow of water out of the pipe, but prevent anything from flowing back in, such as sticks, leaves or other debris. Under direct pressure the valve will open, and it will close when the pressure from outfall fluid is relieved.
Eccentric Plug Valves
DeZURIK Eccentric Plug Valves are used to handle clean and dirty liquids, sludge, slurries and gases. They can be used for either isolation/shutoff or throttling/control services.
Eccentric Plug Valves feature a rectangular port design that provides wide tolerance seating geometry for lasting superior shutoff. The eccentric plug action and resilient plug facings assure lasting dead-tight shutoff.

Butterfly Valves
DeZurik manufactures a variety of high-quality butterfly valves with best-in-class features including wafer and lug style as well as AWWA C504 and C516 flanged valves, and a high performance model that will handle the toughest applications.
Check Valves
Check Valves are used to allow flow through a pipeline in one direction and prevent flow (check) from returning in the opposite direction.
The most important role of a check valve is to act as the automatic shut off valve when the pump stops to prevent draining of the system.

Custom Fabricated Knife Gate Valves
Hilton Bonneted Knife Gate Valves provide performance, economy and rugged construction for a broad range of water and industrial applications. Hilton H-200B Bonneted Knife Gate Valves are used in a variety applications in Water, Wastewater, Paper, Mining, Power and Hydro Dams. A leader in fabricated valve technology, Hilton offers standard Bonneted Knife Gate Valves in sizes 2-96", and custom fabricated valves to 144" with higher pressures and temperature capabilities to meet particular application requirements.
Triple Offset Butterfly Valves
Adams Valves Triple Offset Butterfly Valves are custom fabricated valves which are universally utilizable products, suitable for extreme operating conditions and a high number of actuations. This type of valve has been successfully
used since the 70s and is the further developed
version of the original Adams patent.

Pressure Reducing/Regulating Valves
Pressure Regulating and Reducing Valves are integral to many water distribution piping systems. It is a simple valve that can passively perform many tasks including maintaining upstream or downstream pressure, energy dissipation, flow control, throttling, etc.
Ross Valve was founded in 1879 and to this day remains a family owned and operated company in the same location as they were almost 150 years ago. After that many years in business with little change in the technology, they have perfected the design and manufacturing of these valves.

Inline Check Valves
WAPRO's WaStop has ingenious functionality that provides you with the best possible protection against flooding, odor control and backflow.
A wide size range makes it available to fit most types of pipes from NPS 3" to NPS 72" and it is also available in an Access chamber for easy access from ground level.
Working on differential pressure the WaStop functions autonomously, without human interaction, without electricity and without constant maintenance. It just works.

Cone Valves
Willamette Metal Seated Cone Valves are built to last under the most severe conditions. They are 100% full port, conical plug type valves with a circular waterway through both body and plug in the full open position. Each valve consists of a tapered cone/plug that fits precisely into a mating body. Valves can have a Double Seat Plug with the seat in the closed position as standard or an optional Four Seat Plug with a seat in both the open and closed position. Valves can be furnished with Electric, Hydraulic or Pneumatic or Manual Handwheel operators.
Gate Valves
WaGate gate valves can be installed inline on stormwater and wastewater networks. The most common applications are to isolate run-off from roads in the case of accidents, or close off incoming flow in pumping stations during maintenance.
