Scum Tip Tubes or Rotating Scum Skimmers are commonly installed at the end of a rectangular clarifier to remove scum and floatables from the water surface. Composite scum skimmers are light-weight and robust to stand up to the harsh conditions of the wastewater, particularly if the tank is covered.
